Full Biography

Andreea Nica is a media strategist, writer, and scholar. She is the Founder of OrganiCommunications empowering startups and social enterprises in media strategy and content development. She regularly speaks at events centered on digital media, business innovation, and technology. Andreea contributes to PolicyMic, Huffington Post, Examiner (Gender Equality), Opposing Views, and more. Before launching her own consultancy, she worked as a corporate Marketing Copywriter in the UK and U.S. within the publishing and events industry.

Andreea is a regular contributor to Feminism and Religion and has been interviewed on “The Jesse Lee Peterson Show” on Can Religion Ever Be Good for Women? She received a Hugo House Scholarship to write a non-fiction narrative on transitioning from Pentecostalism, focusing on institutional power and social justice. Andreea gained a foothold in the media industry through her work for Clear Channel Communications, Mix 96.9; CBS Channel 5 Affiliate; and 92.9 KAFF Radio. A long-standing egalitarian and activist, she has counseled women of domestic violence and sexual assault at organizations within the U.S., Romania, and Mexico.

Andreea holds a master’s degree (M.Sc.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science within Communications, focusing on Gender and Culture. Andreea also holds a B.A. in Psychology with a dual minor in Media and PR from Northern Arizona University. She is a former participant of the Vagina Monologues and authors 2 blogs: OrganiCommunications and Progressive Thinking.
