Paula Kweskin is a filmmaker and an attorney specializing in international humanitarian and human rights law. She received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and is a member of the New York Bar. She also has an LL.M in International Law and Human Rights.
Paula is the producer of Honor Diaries, an award-winning documentary film focused on women's rights and gender empowerment. The film brings together nine activists fighting for gender equality in honor-based societies. The film premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival, and won the Interfaith Award for Best Documentary at the St. Louis International Film Fest.
She is also the founder and director of the Censored Women's Film Festival, an international, multi-city festival which celebrates the voices of censored women.
Paula is the producer of Faithkeepers, an upcoming documentary film about the persecution of Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East.
She has worked on various human rights projects including corporate social responsibility and mico-credit initiatives in Argentina, advocacy on behalf of victims of extraordinary rendition, and relief for victims of domestic violence.
Her articles have appeared in the The Wall Street Journal, The Hill, CNN.com, The Jerusalem Post, and The Daily Beast. She has been a featured guest on Voice of America, The Huffington Post Live, WUNC, and WBEZ.
