President Obama will travel to Moscow next week for a two-day summit with Russian President Medvedev. After a brief bilateral meeting in April, the summit provides the first opportunity for an in-depth discussion between the two leaders and will be the first time that the Russian public has seen Obama up close. The security and foreign policy agenda is a full one -- arms reductions, Iran, North Korea, other non-proliferation issues, as well as Russia's contentious relations with its near abroad.
Commenting on these and other issues will be Toby Gati, former Special Assistant to President Clinton for Russia, Ukraine and the Eurasian States. Ms. Gati is now Senior International Advisor at the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
